Ode to the Brave

No welcome with open arms
Obstruction is all they get
No appreciation for their concern
being pushed away, fired and threatened
widespread in government, army or companies
tucked away, hidden, sand in our eyes
secrets, recordings and names
nothing allowed, but they break the silence

Legendary words "follow the money"
turn out to shed light, time and time again
on dark matters
Power, money, influence ... found everywhere
but you prove courage and continue
exposing what nobody knows
what nobody wants to know
keep going, hold on to what matters
don't become part of the her

do not close your eyes,
do not think it doesn’t affect you
they are the bright light

we all need
help them blow their whistles
praise them, respect them
do the right thing

Sometimes there is a that one
the brave one

taking risks, make us aware
squeezing blood out of the stone

but the stones fight back
Bizarre reactions, ignorance
